Tight End Rankings Week 14

Is there a bigger wasteland position than tight end? We might as well be starting fullbacks half the time. But if you are struggling, start Conklin.

This feels like Mark Andrew’s week. No particular reason other than he scored a TD along with 65 yards in the last debacle against the Browns, and the Ravens have to do better this time, right? Right? Shut up Padme.

Gronk is looking absolutely unstoppable right now, and even against the Bills I think he finishes TE2.

I’ve got Waller at TE5 betting he plays. I could get burned on that but I doubt he misses two weeks in a row. Dude is tough.

I’ve got Conklin all the way down at TE10 but this season, 65 scoreless yards is probably good for top 7. If you have Gesicki or Goedert on bye he’s the best fill in you’re going to get.

Honestly I weep for Pitts. No first-round rookie has gotten a rawer deal this year other than Trevor Lawrence. I can’t wait to see what he can do with a real QB. Maybe Rodgers would like some southern hospitality next season?

Only other name worth mentioning is Cole Kmet, and if that doesn’t speak to how boring this position has gotten nothing will. On to the week 14 tight end rankings.

Tight End Rankings Week 10

Rankings: Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End

I actually had a decent week last week at tight end, I recommended sitting Mark Andrews (who posted another dud) and Goedert, but whiffed on Uzomah.

This week the big question is around the Chiefs offense. Kelce has not deserved the number 1 ranking in a while, and Waller and Kittle both made strong claims to the number 1 spot, but Waller takes it this week due to targets and matchup.

Pitts has been a roller coaster and I am not sure if it’s going to get any better. Ryan is simply taking what the defense gives him and if that is someone named Olamide Zaccheaus so be it. Andrews will always be a crapshoot, and Hockenson is just not looking great in that cesspool of an offense.

Goedert I don’t think will ever be consistent. He has no excuses with Ertz gone, and still not getting it done from a fantasy perspective. It’s not his fault the Eagles aren’t throwing the ball but it’s not yours either.

Oh, and regarding Higbee, you can forget about him for the rest of the season. Here’s why:

Tight End Rankings Week 9

Rankings: Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End

Is Kelce Done? Honestly it’s hard to believe this is even a discussion, but he’s trending the same direction as the entire KC team – downward. But I’m not willing to count him out in my tight end rankings this week.

Pitts is a risky bet this week against New Orleans who has been shutting down opposing QBs, and Ryan frankly turned in a geriatric performance last week against lesser competition. Still impossible to sit the freak athlete but temper expectations.

The best TE play this week might be Mike Gesicki, going against the 4th softest defense against tight ends this year in Houston, and Tua finally has the trade rumors no longer swirling around him, at least for now.

On to the tight end rankings.
